Vail - The Louvre of snowriding; an enviable and eclectic collection of some of the finest skiing and snowboarding in the World. Taos Snow Valley - Arguably some of the best vertical in the United States. Like skiing used to be before high speed quads! Adriana Blake says she's not biased but explains, "Everyone should Ski Taos before they check-out." We agree! Snowbird - If we didn't live in Colorado, we would ski here after every big dump. Ski the Peruvian Cirque and you'll feel like you've come as close as man can come to touching the face of God! When your snowriding is this good- you are entitled to give everyone else the bird! Alta Ski Area - If we didn't live in Colorado we would ski here after every dump! |

Keystone Resort - Talk about ironies! The resort that used to run off snowboarders like they were a bad rash, is transforming itself into the preeminent destination for shredders in the World. We miss the old Packsaddle Bowl- but that just means we spend more time challenging ourselves in the Outback. Beaver Creek - What can you say about a ski resort that features moving sidewalks, escalators, valets and ski runs so impeccably groomed, you feel guilty about defacing them with anything less than perfect turns? This is your Dad's ski area- particularly if Dad is flush! Ajax, Snowmass, Buttermilk & Aspen Highlands - Not the cheapest place to snowride in Colorado- but certainly the most civilized. except for Winter X Games week- when the Roaring Fork Valley is happily, temporarily debased. If you can only ski one of Aspen's grand four - our favorite is the Highlands. But, having said that, ski runs like the Burn at Snowmass redefine elegant cruising! Oh, and lets not forget about the great contributions of the Aspen Valley Ski Club, Mark Cole, David Perry, Mike Kaplan and Pat O’Donnell to the cause of diversity in the Roaring Fork Valley. Eldora Mountain Resort - The most conveniently located snowriding area to Denver. One of the State's finest learning areas- yet still home to Colorado's mythical Corona Bowl and yes, "frozen dead guys days" in nearby Nederland! Crested Butte Resort -Easily, Colorado's most authentic Victorian ski town. A true year round destination with some of the best mountain biking and best extreme skiing in all of Colorado. Best news of all, since it's now under the new ownership of Diane and Tim Mueller, it is now well on its way to becoming Colorado’s transcendent destination resort! Arapahoe Basin - There is a reason they call it "The Legend." The best ways to discover its 13,050 feet of panache? Three words. Palivacinni, the East Wall and those Alleys! Oh, and did we forget to mention the Basin is usually open until July 4- although, honestly, snowriding in June is a little like making turns in a giant "Slurpee." And it's about the same color! Steamboat -Always, some of the finest glade skiing in the whole of Colorado- but we would be remiss in not mentioning those great cruiser runs, the resonant lifestyle and enough natural snowfall to solve all of Denver's drought woes; too bad it's on the wrong side of the Continental Divide! Ski Cooper - One of our personal favoritos. We love those Chicago Ridge Snowcat Tours from atop the Continental Divide. And the funky equanimity of a place so steeped in America's snow sports history. Angel Fire Resort - A great family snowriding destination in the famed Moreno Valley of Northern New Mexico. A great place to learn how to make turns! Colorado Ski Country -The marketing group for the Colorado ski industry. National Ski Areas Association - The site of the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA). Lots of good info here for folks interested in the ski biz! A must see site for industry professionals. Ski Area Management Magazine - The site of Ski Area Management (SAM) Magazine, legendary snowriding editor Rick Kahl and drop dead gorgeous publishers Jennifer and Olivia Rowan! The management bible of the snowsports industry- a copy is always on the desk of industry pros! 2004 Winter X Games - Site of ESPN's 2004 Winter X Games VIII. A great party! One of the few mountain venues that truly has "something for everyone" EXPN - ESPN's very cool youth oriented site focusing on skateboarding, moto X, bike stunts, snowboarding and freestyle skiing! Pokolodi Lodge at Snowmass - Ski-in ski-out. Affordable accommodations smack dab in the middle of Snowmass Village. The official Aspen lodging of ALPINO and home of legendary innkeeper Vanessa Adams. Colorado Mountain College - The Timberline Campus (Leadville) of Colorado Mountain College. Renowned for Professors Paul Rauschke, Curt Bender, Campus Dean John Marrin and the preeminent Ski Area Operations program in the U.S... Yes Bubba, there is such a thing as a career in the ski industry! National Ski Patrol -The site of our good buds, the National Ski Patrol. Pepsico -The manufacturer of Diet Pepsi and Fritos- the official training food of the zaftik ALPINO Ski Racing team and "Jimbo" Dienes Wednesday Night Ski at Keystone Resort! Peeps - The official training dessert of the ALPINO Ski Racing Team! Lito Tejada-Flores - Simply put, this is the website of the best ski instructor in the World, Lito Tejada-Flores, former contributing editor of Skiing magazine, creator of three best selling ski videos and the author of the best ski instructional classic- "How to Break Out of the Intermediate Rut." Lito has done more for ski instruction than anyone on the planet and he's as interesting a person as you will ever meet on a ski slope! Harald Harb - Always a thorn in the side of PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America). Harald Harb has been making ground breaking points about the need for change in traditional ski instruction technique for years. Make tracks to Sol Vista Resort to treat yourself to the Harb instructional technique. Professional Ski Instructors of America - The site of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). Copper Mountain Resort - Chuck Lewis' dream realized in Summit County, CO. Queenstown, NZ - A stellar way to explore New Zealand's unique brand of snowriding near Queenstown in the South Island. Heli-Skiing in NZ - Harris Mountains Heli-Skiing (NZ) LTD is the premier heli-skiing guide service in the Harris Mountains and Buchanan Range of the South Island of New Zealand. Skiing the Himalayas - When you're ready to ski with the biggest of the big dogs- this is the place to go! Himachal Helicopter Skiing in the Himalayas of North India Diving - The official site of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). If you've thought aboutexploring the joy of underwater diving- go here first. We cannot overemphasize the importance of PADI certification. Fishing - Dan Hernandez- East L.A. premier sport fisherman Scuba Club Cozumel - Unquestionably the best value dive experience in all Latin America. The Tories still live on Man O' War Cay! Adventure Travel -From Alaska to Zimbabwe-guide to adventure travel everywhere. Cayman Islands - Info on the Cayman Islands. Best Eats in Cabo - The best restaurant for REAL Mexican food when you visit Cabo San Lucas. University of California, Berkeley - Still, at the top of our personal list of the top five universities in the U.S. The others?
